Services: At Golden Gate Homeopathy, we work with you to develop a program
that works with your goals, however large or small. Ours is a collaboration in your health journey.
The Process: Before your first visit, you will be asked to fill out a homeopathic as well as conventional health history questionnaire. The forms are available at the bottom of the page. Please print them out, fill them out and bring them with you to the appointment. Alternatively, the paperwork can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to you at your request.
During the interview, both physical and emotional symptoms will be gathered. It is important to understand both your current condition and the overall state, as many factors may have played a role in how the problem manifests and is experienced. This is often complex, and an in-depth interview allowing time and space to understand the whole pattern of illness is necessary.
Pertinent physical exam will be limited to what is feasible within the space of a consulting room, such as a screening of ears, nose and throat, seated auscultation of lungs and heart, visual examination of extremities and posture. We will also take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, respirations).
Detailed physical exams should be left to your primary care provider (PCP). If you have prior health history records, medical records, copies of lab tests, imaging and other reports, please bring them. We can coordinate care with other practitioners, and, in fact, we encourage you to maintain a relationship with your medical doctor.
After the initial intake, your case is studied, so a homeopathic medicine most suitable to your unique situation can be chosen. Naturopathic medical treatments are often recommended in conjunction with Homeopathy to boost your vitality and optimize healing. They may include botanicals (tinctures, teas, gemmotherapy products), supplements, nutritional advice, hydrotherapy treatment, bio-identical hormones where appropriate, exercise therapeutics suggestions, etc. Imaging and labs are ordered as needed in an individual case.
Subsequently, we will meet in 4 to 6 weeks’ time to assess your progress and treatment success. We evaluate if the remedy and other suggestions need to be adjusted or changed. As time goes on, appointments are scheduled in greater intervals and at patient’s discretion.
We do not prescribe pharmaceutical drugs and we cannot bill insurance; however, we can provide you with an invoice with appropriate office visit and diagnostic codes that you can submit to your insurance.
